Why Switzerland?

Switzerland is not part of the EU or US jurisdiction, giving it some of the world's strongest data protection laws independently of political pressure from either bloc. Swiss courts cannot be compelled by US CLOUD Act requests or EU mass surveillance directives. Your calendar data stays in Switzerland, governed by Swiss law.
